Pubblicata nel 2004 dalla casa editrice giapponese Fairbell, questa edizione del manga  "Oniisama he..." (Riyoko Ikeda, stessa autrice de La Rosa di Versailles) è la prima edizione di questo manga ad uscire in formato speciale dopo ben 15 anni!!
Il manga "Oniisama He..." (Caro Fratello...) è stato pubblicato per la prima volta da Riyoko Ikeda nel 1975 (collana Margaret Comics, formato standard tankoubon); ci vollero poi ben 14 anni perchè se ne vedesse un'edizione deluxe in libreria (deluxe chuokoronsha 1989 - che fu subito esaurita). Dal 1989 al 2004, in Giappone si ebbero solo edizioni tascabili di poco pregio. Finchè finalmente nel 2004 la casa editrice giapponese Fairbell decise di ridare lustro a questo (e ad altri) capolavoro del passato di Riyoko Ikeda e ne fece questa edizione.
Questa edizione è in due volumi: il formato è fuori standard, sono 18 x 13 cm ciascuno. La cover art è splendida, del resto è ciò che distingue maggiormente le edizioni Fairbell da quelle della case editrici maggiori giapponesi (la Fairbell è una piccola casa editrice che produce solo titoli da grandi autrici di Shoujo Manga e che si distingue in libreria per i suoi formati e per le sue felicissime scelte in fatto di design e grafica).
Entrambi i volumi hanno copertina semirigida, riccamente illustrata sia sul fronte sia sul retro: all'interno dei volumi, l'edizione del manga originale è impreziosita da introduzioni a colori.

EDIZIONE CONSIGLIATA A TUTTI I BIBLIOFILI

"Oniisama He" (manga comics by Riyoko Ikeda, same author of "The Rose of Versailles") has been published for the first time, in Japan, in 1975 by Shueisha (Margaret Comics). It took as many as 14 years to see a deluxe edition into the japanese libraries in fact the Margaret Comics were published in standard format and the first treasured edition came out by Chuokoronsha only in 1989. Since 1989, japanese libraries only presented pocket editions of this manga: pocket editions are 16 cm tall and it's not a great pleasure for collectors. to get such little books.
Finally in 2004, the modern Fairbell company, decided to produce this newest edition in 2 volumes: both volumes are 18 x 13 cm (larger then standard) and there is more: Fairbell is mostly appreciated for its beautiful and coloured cover arts and here we have 2 wonderful volumes, with richly coloured covers and introductions.
I have to precise that Fairbell is a little printhouse: it's not a great company just like Shueisha or Chuokoronsha. Fairbell is a modern printhouse, only presenting works by a limited number of classical Shoujo manga artists, such as mainly Riyoko Ikeda but also Yumiko Igarashi and others. Since their first edition of Versailles no Bara, Riyoko Ikeda has now published all her most valuable titles with this printhouse and even some titles of her youth, never ever printed since more then 20 years. Don't miss this wonderful edition: you'll love the Fairbell style!!
