Links to major international postal services

In case you should need to ship goods from other countries, we link some of the major international postal services. Please aknowledge that we can't list charges for each country.
If you need to transfer money from different countries, your national postal service provides the IPMO product, international postal money order: it makes you transfer money from any to any foreign country, in any currency, even if you don't own a credit card or bank account. Simply go to your nearest post office and ask for informations about it. It is a very simple operation and costs are reasonable.

International money transfers: methods and features

When you are requested to send payments to remote beneficiaries (sellers, friends ... anyone you wish), first of all you should choose a convenient method to do it: choosen method must be safe but also low expensive (because sometimes, if you don't choose carefully, you risk and spend more for the transfer then for the purchase itself, and this is nonsense).
We are now listing some of the most common methods used in case of internet purchases, trying to explain why and when you should prefer them. Hope you can take advantage from this information:

METHOD

EXPLANATION

BANK TRANSFER
(WIRE)

Go to your bank and order a wire. Costs depend on the bank of the sender.

It's the safest way to send payments worldwide. If any data is not precise, the payment comes back.

It's not real-time: it takes a few days to be viewed and confirmed by the recipient but it's safest.

IPMO
(international
postal money
order)

You pay cash by any post office and the recipient will receive a cheque. Costs of the operation depend on the total amount transferred.

Paier won't need credit card or bank account: everyone can do it.

It takes days to arrive. It can't be cashed automatically: must go and collect money from a post office.

PAYMENTS
BY EMAIL

Both methods lets you transfer money worldwide (any currency) by email. You sign up for free with your email address and you can upload funds by your bank or by your credit card; then you would be able to send money from yours to the beneficiary's email address. Transferring money by email is simple and very fast: these payments arrive in real-time and confirmations are fully automated.
If you search around the net, you'll find many services like these: unfortunately it's difficult to understand if they are safe or not. In case of Moneybookers and Paypal, they both exist since so much time that we can consider them safe. Anyway it's always better to use them with care and if you must transfer important amounts, we suggest you to do it by your bank: maybe it will take some more days but it will grant peaceful sleep while waiting! (Refer to official websites to get detailed infos about costs and rules).
Online methods to send/receive payments by email have got fortune around the net also because they allow all people (including private person) to receive payments from credit cards.

NOMINAL TRANSFERS

Western Union is a private service who lets you transfer money by name/code. You must go to a WE point and order a trasfer from yours to the recipient's name (addresses are not requested): officer will start the operation by assigning names and a unique code to it. This code identifies the transfer internationally: you must communicate the code to the recipient and then he will be able to go and collect the payment from a WE point nearest to him.
Nominal transfers usually work fine but they are not the best about security because people pay and collect money cash only.  (Refer to official website to get detailed infos about costs and rules)
